![]() ![]() It's unclear if he dies at sea or if George goes back to his old home to kill Justine, but it's clear that he's now "damned" by his actions. She calls George and tells him that she remembers everything and, still haunted by Calvin's spirit, he sails out into the sea and imagines that he's sailing into the gates of Hell, inspired by the paintings of George Inness who he teaches about. However, Justine is woken up by the spirits of Catherine and Ella to be their "guardian angel". George moves back home to Manhattan and it feels as though he's going to get away with everything he's done. His fingerprints are on the axe because it's his axe. They know he did it, but his alibi checks out and they can't prove he did it. He goes off to work and spends all day with his colleagues, before coming home and 'discovering' the body and reporting it to the police. It's all an act though, and George creates his alibi by leaving Cole a note to not disturb Catherine when he comes to babysit their daughter the next day. George then fatally strikes Catherine with an axe and we realise that it was Catherine's dead body he was reeling from in the opening scene. He drugs her protein shake with sedatives and as she passes out, she hears Ella telling her that "as she was there for me, I am here for you". With Catherine planning on leaving him, George starts to hear the evil spirit – which is revealed to be Calvin, Ella's husband – telling him to "free yourself". Sound familiar? It's not 100% confirmed that George did the deed, but it seems likely given everything we know about him. George runs her off the road, putting her in a coma that she's unlikely to wake from.Īnd at a Thanksgiving dinner, Catherine finds out that the paintings George had passed off as his own were actually the work of his late cousin, who drowned after falling from a boat. They think it's a heart attack, but it clearly wasn't.Ĭatherine's friend Justine ( Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn) also gets wise to George's true nature and finds out that he's been sleeping with Willis. Unfortunately for Floyd, he tells George this while they're on a boat and later, it's reported that Floyd's body washed up on shore. But there's also an "evil spirit" around who will only communicate with "evildoers", and that spirit starts to communicate with George as his life starts to crumble.įloyd finds out that George lied about his letter of recommendation for the job and he tells George that he will lose his job. It turns out that the house is "portal between two realms" and has left behind a "guardian angel" to guide Catherine. When they hold a séance to talk to her, Ella is prevented from talking to Catherine by another spirit. "We're not alone, are we? She has reasons for lingering because she's here for you," he tells her, and Catherine realises it's the spirit of Ella that has been visiting her. George's boss Floyd ( Homeland's F Murray Abraham) believes Catherine when she tells him about what she's experienced, and he feels it himself when he visits. Calvin and his wife Ella died, but their boys, Eddie and Cole, survived and are actually working at the home still as Catherine hired them for babysitting and general duties, unaware they used to live there.Ī similar fate befell the first woman who lived in the house, who died in mysterious circumstances in the late 1800s. It turns out that the previous owner, Calvin Vayle, drugged his wife and children, started up the trucks in the garage and went to bed. She finds out when they hold a house party. But he's actually been keeping the story of what happened in their home a secret from Catherine. We're about to delve into the ending of Things Heard & Seen to explain just what's happening in the home, so major spoilers are ahead if you haven't seen the movie yet.ĭuring one argument, George criticises her over her drinking and eating disorder, hinting that might be the real reason she's seeing these things. Writing and directing duo Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini admitted that there is an "enigmatic" ending to their horror movie and they don't want to "put a nail in people's theories", but that doesn't mean we can't explore what happens. Not long after they arrive, Catherine starts to experience ghostly goings-on in their new home, but the dark history of the place might not even match the sinister darkness at the heart of their marriage. The 20 drawers are a dream, and can fit much more tools than the Husky 62″ tool cabinet that previously occupied this space. The soft close feature is a convenience, and also provides some closed drawer retention strength, which is typical. The drawers feel to be of very high quality – they don’t rack or sag, and open and close smoothly. In reality, it does provide for a more premium user experience. There’s a 6-outlet plus 2 USB power strip on the right side.Īll of that sounds good on paper. There are two locks – one for the main section, and another for the right side bank of drawers. Husky equipped the workbench with a Kwikset SmartKey system, which allows for easy rekeying multiple locks to the same Kwikset key. The deeper top drawer and deep bottom drawers have double pairs of drawer slides and 400 lb load ratings. The frame is made with 16 gauge steel, and the base frame 9 gauge.Įach drawer can support up to 220 lbs. The top is made from 18-gauge 304-grade stainless steel. Pull handles on both sides also made the workbench easier to move around. With these casters, all 4 casters touch the floor, a benefit of the shock-absorbing system and absence of middle casters. It was easier to move this into position than with other larger mobile workbenches and tool cabinets I’ve used before. This one has 4 swivel casters, which makes it more maneuverable. Normally, larger mobile workbenches – at least consumer models – have 6 casters. There are 4 locking swivel casters, with a combined load capacity of 6,000 lbs. The very first thing I noticed was how easy it was to move the workbench into position. The same add-on options are available in both colors. ![]() |
